I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I accompanied my elderly mother to Big Lots today and my mother is a regular Big Lots customer. Nancy- the cashier dismissed my mother by taking another customer that was behind my mother and I. We asked her about our rewards and she said "I don't know there is no way to look it up". We asked her a few questions about the price and color of an item and we were blatantly ignored. My mom spilled some of her soda on the floor in front of the register and asked for paper towels so that we could clean it up so no one would fall. Once again- we were ignored and she didn't respond until I said- once again (2nd time) that a customer could fall and we needed paper towels. Instead of handing me the paper towels she threw them. I asked if there was a manager and she said "no". Once outside- we spoke to James- he said he is in charge of the store. I told him about the experience we had- he said "oh" and walked away. This was a terrible experience and I am truly disappointed.

Worst case of fraudulent advertising. So called managers were rude and not properly trained how to speak to customers. Took my 94 year old Mother in her wheelchair there on Sunday for their 20% off entire purchase weekend. While walking through the store we came shelves of plastic totes with signs on them saying CLEARANCE 75% OFF. My mother picked out a few she wanted and we proceeded to the checkout where she was charged regular price and then given the 20% off. I advised the cashier this was incorrect and she just kept saying “no, see I gave you the 20% off plus your Big Lots member discount if 10%”. I explained the totes were 75% off per their signs on the shelves. She again repeated the same thing. At this point we just paid and left as it had been a long day and we needed to get back home. The next day we sat down and figured out what we should have paid and then returned to the store to speak with the manager. First I went back to where we had found the totes and found they were already utilizing the shelves for Christmas items. We then went to speak with the manager and explained the situation. The manager then said well it was not on all the plastic totes. The 75% off was on lawn and garden items. Nowhere on the sign(attached picture) does it say lawn and garden items only. I explained these signs were hanging on the shelves where these totes were , nowhere near their lawn and garden section which was in the back corner of the store. The manager just said I’m not going to argue with you and even if they were 75% off their system was not recognizing the price change and they have no way to do a price over ride. REALLY???? All items were returned. I would not recommend shopping in this store where they advertise items on sale fraudulently, are rude to their customers and will lie to customers to cover just so they won’t be wrong and not correct their own mistakes. Shameful business tactics.

They have really upped their game! The patio furniture/outdoor selection is so nice. Just a bit pricey now though!

Very nice Big Lots. Used the call ahead - pick up service for the first time. Everything we ordered was waiting at the cash wrap and all we had to do was show the pick up email. The cashier was very nice and friendly. Even got 15% off coupon for ordering ahead online. :)
