My orthopedic suggested I visit Prolabs after foot surgery. I met Mark Thigpen, the owner of ProLab Orthotics, in December and he used a foot impression foam box in preparation for an orthotic. I was trying to get it completed by end of Dec for insurance consideration. He mentioned he was moving his business down the street but could complete this orthotic. A couple of weeks go by and I call for an update. I get a recording, leave messages, and no calls back I called numerous times in January and February to get an update an no calls were answered and none returned. I decided to go to his business in person and saw he had indeed moved. I tried to open the door and it was locked. A young man exited stating he was with a customer and I could wait outside. I did and was allowed to enter shortly after. Mark said he was really backed up and the move was a terrible event, permits were hard to obtain, etc. Every excuse but said he would get my foot impression box and get to work. Well that was a few weeks ago and as expected, nothing.. No calls, wont answer phone...NOTHING. I told Dr. Steinlauf the referral to Mark Thigpen was a real bust. Poor business ethic, appears to be lazy as he can't even answer a phone, or return calls. He cost me $600 by not filing insurance. I told Dr Mills "Mark mentioned you won't use his services, Now I understand why. He's not reliable".

My podiatrist referred me to Custom Fit Pro Labs and even though it was a bit of a drive (I live in Miami), it was totally worth it. I suffer from severe flat feet and I fractured my big toe last year. Marc took his time in our initial meeting and he asked questions. The end was result was amazing as I ended up with a new pair of inserts, both with Morton's extensions. This is the 3rd pair of orthopedic inserts that I have ever purchased, and they are by far, the most comfortable. I do not experience any more pain from the toe injury, and I have been able to return back to physical activity without discomfort. Marc is the man and I consider him an artist! He takes his craft very seriously and I highly recommend Custom Fit Pro Labs!!!

I have had to get my shoes from different suppliers, depending on which insurance I have. Custom Fit Prolabs is the only provider that offers a variety of styles. I went for my fitting the 24th of March and was told my shoes would be here in 2 or 3 weeks. It has been almost 6 weeks and I’m still waiting. I tried calling the store to inquire about the delay but could not speak to a live person; just got a recording saying they will call us when the shoes arrive. If they don’t want to waste their time speaking to their customers, they might at least include an explanation on their recording.

As I am a diabetic, Medicare pays for one pair of shoes per year. Mark Thigpen and his staff at Custom Fit Pro Labs have been supplying my needs for five years.They have a great selection of athletic shoes and stylish footwear. They always come through. Last month I ruptured my achilles tendon, and my podiatrist ordered a walking boot. Mark came through again with great service and a friendly attitude. If you come in, ask him about my pork chop story!

I came to custom pro fit labs with a broken left ankle foot orthosis. The owner Mark Thigpen informed me that my braces broken parts were no longer made. Instead of suggesting I get a brand new brace(expensive) or turning me away Mark and his team worked diligently to repair my brace with the parts they had in stock making it work and completing it on that same business day. I was extremely grateful that he was able to do so and it became clear to me that this is not only his livelihood but his passion to help others. If you want someone who will take any challenge and work till its completed Mark and his team are definitely your best choice.
